Cold Air Unit Test Bench

About

The cold air unit test bench is used to control test parameters while performing operational testing on the EC70 air cycle machine. Three motor-operated butterfly valves and two manuals control air flow through the ACM and secondary heat exchanger. The heat exchanger is used to ensure exact aircraft conditions are met for the ACM under test. Various sensors or ports are available to read temperatures, pressures, shaft displacement etc. by remote data system.
